Have you received any special gift from someone? What is it, and why do you think it is special for you?

Special gift? Special gift means that it can be special in anyway. Oho I have one special gift. Actually, at first I didn't know my gift was special and made me feel grand. Later on I noticed that it was really special for me. Would you like to guess? Just kidding. :)
It was a small key chain. I know you guys would wonder about my special gift and probably think I am a little bit crazy. However, this was one of my mother's gifts before I came to Seattle. Absolutely, it was not as expensive as others. It was made by little crystals and included my first name "May". Moreover, it included a key and a key lock. As you know, I am a key chain fanatic, by the time I got that key chain from my mother, I had no words to express all of my happiness.
When I came to Seattle, I brought that key chain with me. I thought it made me not to feel like lonely girl. In addition, when I feel so tired or sick of my host family it helped me to get away all of these feelings. As everybody knows, host family can not be nice just like real family. Sometimes, my host family is nice to me and to other two students but sometimes we can not understand what's wrong with them.
Besides, if I had some problems with my studying, looking at that key chain and I felt satisfied. A key and A key lock from that give me energy to overwhelm everything easily because I feel like I don't need to worry about anything. Why? I have a key to open and to solve everything.....
My mother can not stay beside me right now because we are far away. Even though two of us are in each place, I can imagine like my mother is beside me as long as I keep the key chain. Therefore this gift is so brilliant, meaningful and special for me.......... :)

Yo~May,nice to feel that have a special gift and a good mother.Thank you picture that show what's your special gift looks like, yes,it's pretty fancy, right?I can exactlly see the MAY on a chain, that's nice. So, you put your keys on it?You never tell that you are a fanstic of key chains, you must have lots of fancy collections of key chains, can you show me some of them at school? I hope you will. You also mentioned your hostfamily, what's wrong with them.Do them ever be nice to your and your roommates? I can exactlly understand what's your feeling, cuz' I used to stay in a homestay,uh~that's right, sometimes you just feel strange feelings around you,you can't speak out, cuz'it's not a real home,it's hard to feel free at home,uh? so that's why I moved out.So, as you say, just forget these preblems and try to hang out your friends,I know sometimes you feel alonely here, cuz' there's no more students that came from the same country as you. So,forget it!!Happy everyday.I do have lots of friends around you,I hope the gift from your mum can help a lot.

Hi May,
Instead of writing the comment, I left your blog open and made myslef a cup of tea while listining to your songs :P

I think its great to have something like the key chain that reminds you of your family. As for me, I dont really have any gifts left from anybody since most of the gifts are a perfums bottle or a snikers bar :P
the only thing that reminds me of my family is the photo album in my computer which by the way was deleted two days ago by mistake, lets just hope that I have a copy back home

TakeCare
